Oh my gosh! I feel like I should have a welcome back party after taking such a long break from blogging. I have so much good stuff to share with you guys! So let’s dive right in and let me share an editorial shoot that I should have shared around Christmas time, but you know life happened 🙂
Ali came to me a few days before this shoot and said “I have a cooler full of flowers, let’s make some magic!”. That’s all it took and I was in! Literally, this was put together in less than a week. We wanted to keep it simple 1. because of the lack of time to plan and 2. because I really wanted the shoot to focus on the floral and cake. I sort of forced one of my amazing, sweet and super talented Brides into making a cake for the shoot. Amy dabbles in baking and even made her own cake for her wedding. I think the best part of the shoot was sampling all of the cakes at the end of the shoot 🙂 Rachel, a photographer herself couldn’t have been a better model or sport about spending all day with us and freezing! Thanks girl!
For this shoot I stepped wayyyyy out of my comfort zone. Ali said she wanted something dark and moody. What a better time to experiment than on a styled shoot. This was a whole new world of editing and shooting towards the dark side but I sort of like it.
