As a destination wedding photographer based in Oregon, I’ve documented weddings at many woodsy-pacific-northwest-vibe venues. But when I entered the gates of Monet vineyard, I knew this was going to be like I was stepping into a European countryside, one of the places on my bucket list.
There was no shortage of incredible spots for portraits at the venue. From the gardens, to the lavender-lined drive, to the ivy-covered front.
Luisa DePaiva, the owner of Monet Vineyards says
“When I came to the Washington countryside, I had a desire to create a place that echoed the beauty of the European homes and gardens I’d admired while growing up in Portugal.
During my childhood I had the opportunity to walk through old-world gardens and admire vine-covered houses. These we places that fused beauty with functionality; that married elegance of form with lasting function. I romanticized about creating and living in places like those. “
I would say that she created the perfect space.
