A Modern Editorial Engagement Photo Session In Portland Studio | Yun & Brandan

So you just got engaged (YAY!) and you’re asking yourself that loaded question…

What direction should we head with our photography journey?

My advice is to find your wedding photographer and dive into planning your engagement session. Your engagement session is the perfect trial run for your wedding day. Use it as a time to get to know your photographer even more and walk through posing tips. In the end, you should walk away feeling confident about having your photographer with you on your wedding day AND have a gallery full of images you can’t wait to print.

While I love being an outdoor Oregon photographer, studio and indoor engagement sessions are quickly becoming my favorite. The Pacific Northwest has such beautiful scenery every way you turn and it’s hard to not want to feature that. But I love the simplicity that a studio photo session gives. It allows the feature to be you and your love against a blank canvas.

I believe in real moments and chasing sunsets. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments together. I believe in images that are itching to be printed, placed in beautiful frames, and hung on walls for years to come.

I believe in powerful love. Above all, I believe that love is a powerful force in the universe, and I want to preserve true love, beauty, light, and all the moments in life.
